"There was an enjoyment to being alive, he felt, that because of an underlying meaninglessness–like how a person alone for too long cannot feel comfortable when with others; cannot neglect that underlying the feeling of belongingness is the certainty, really, of loneliness, and nothingness, and so experiences life in that hurried, worthless way one experiences a mistake–he could no longer get at."

Hello!

Since my blog is relatively new and I have not said much about myself yet, I figure that this is the perfect time to introduce myself to you, my followers, and tell you a little more information about me. I’m an 18 year old girl from San Francisco, California that appreciates the beauty of other cultures besides my own and recognizes that everything can be beautiful, not just what the media tells us is. I really enjoy extreme couponing, Thai iced tea, and crude/satirical humor. I’ve learned that I can believe in something very strongly, but also be able to laugh at it at the same time, which I really do like about myself. My favorite people (dead or alive; in no particular order) are Alice Paul, David Bowie, Stephan Colbert, Seth Macfarlane, Sherman Alexie, Jim Morrison, Helena Bonham Carter, Jon Stewart, Jared Leto, John Green, Anthony Bourdain, Madame Curie, JG Quintel, and Billie Joe Armstrong. I included this list of people because I figure that these people and what they’re known for sort of concisely define me as a whole; instead of explicitly pointing out everything I enjoy, I’ll just list people that enjoy things that I like. I’m not really sure what else to say… Um… I’m straight, my favorite movie is Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, and my favorite books are Reservation Blues and Hamlet. To anyone that actually read this, thanks! Now you know a lot about me. I love making new friends so feel free to send me a message if you think we might get along. Adios, amigos! (:
